QAF & Me

3 or 4 years ago I've known about Queer As Folk which is still somewhat a classical gay drama in my opinion. And after downloading the 1st episode by eMule( this seems to be my beginning of using eMule) , I watched it eagerly and was shocked by the sex with the nude bodies posing directly. Of course,the innocent me is far far away now after watching many Falcons in the recent years. But it's really very curious that so many times I've made up my mind to watch all the 5 seasons of Queer As Folk and at last I always gave up. Till now all I've watched completely are just the 22 episodes of season 1, which is also the most similar to the original UK QAF( After watching it, the accent of UK made me feel desperate of my listening).
Let's put the other things aside, and focus on the soul of a drama- the various characters.
Though Brian always was introduced as the hottest man on Liberty Ave and in many forums he was No. 1 in lots ones' mind, especially girls, I didn't feel the same.But description- the cock-of-the-walk does match him. The impressive impression of sex in the drama which shocked me is just the scene he hooked the virginal Justin, took him home and made love in his big bed. Even the position of gesture is so vivid.
Oh, I totally fall in love with him at the first sight- the wholesome boy-next-door, Michael. So in the few beginning episodes of season 1, I wish that he and Brian will be together for the many years he loves Brian secretly and constantly( Though it seems everyone knows it). And it's another reason why I dislike Justin. Okay, anyway, at last the cordial and familiar guy has got his true love- Ben, thoroughly different from the end of the QAF( UK) .
Justin is an cute twink,so he's not my coffee at all.Even more, I really dislike to watch him, especially in sex. Because seeing twink in sex made me feel a little uncomfortable. But I admire him for his bravery of his own sexual orientation and struggle for his love. In a word, the deepest dissatisfaction of him is his appearance, while the same character in QAF( UK) satisfies me more.
The HIV-positive Ben turned up till season 2 that I haven't watch, so I knew few of him. But he's a hot hunk, isn't him?
Emmett's the typical gay image in most people's mind-cissy and drag queen. At first, I dislike him. While you knew more about him, the initial impression changed and you'll found him fabulous gradually.
Common Ted is a true portrayal of the middle-aged. Want love but afraid to love. It's ridiculous to put he and Emmet in relationship.
Lindsay, mother of Brian's son.She's a gorgeous blond, a loyal friend to many,up to all challenges and reveling in the glory while healing the rifts between old friends.
Tough, brassy Melanie,a lawyer, mother of Michael's daughter.
Exuberant Debbie,Michael's mother,is always warm-hearted and seems strong to supply protection. Though she's just a waitress, you feel you could trust and depend her. Her boundless loyalty and motherly instincts extend to a family of friends. How jealousy that Michael has a such wonderful mother.
PS:The director of QAF is really friendly with Chinese. You even found the Chinese Herbalist and so on. By the way, there used to be a very ugly Japanese male prostitute in one episode.
